“So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
The above verse from 2 Corinthians is perhaps the most profound declaration of wisdom in the Scriptures. Think about what is being said. All of the things that we see with our eyes are temporary, meaning that there will be a day in the future when they will no longer exist. Everything we can see, no exceptions! This earth, and all that is in it, will someday be destroyed by fire when the Lord Jesus returns. All the stars and planets of the universe will be destroyed also. A new heaven and new earth will be created.
