“This is my life work: helping people understand and respond to this Message.” ~Apostle Paul

Christian Training Center International

Work DefinitionPaul made tents for a living. It wasn’t how he defined his work. His work was to help people understand the good news that God has for those who came into his life. It wasn’t even something he was talented at. It was a gift from God. He wasn’t qualified to do it but God gave him everything he needed to succeed.

God’s goal is that our goal be to one of helping people understand and respond to God’s message. My work is not what I do for a living. My work is to take advantage of the gifts He gives me and press on. It is His way in His world and that is good news.

This is my life work: helping people understand and respond to this Message. It came as a sheer gift to me, a real surprise, God handling all the details. When it came to…

20 Things I Monitor Daily To Cope

Pastor Craig Crosby

I need at least 8-9 hours of actual sleep per night for my best chance at a decent day. Generally I spend at least 10-12 hours daily in the bed asleep or awake. Often the only comfortable position is laying on my side. I wear a Fitbit Blaze to keep track of my sleeping patterns.

Periodically this must be adjusted by a professional. I daily look for signs of necessary adjustment. Nausea, racing heart beat and feeling strong unbearable vibes throughout my body can be over stimulation. Not having my stimulator on high enough leads to increase pains and honestly life is not bearable.

Every week I put together my medicine box. I have alarms set for three times a day. I take a few prescriptions, several supplements, and make sure I have emergency medications always on standby. I just carry a backpack with me everywhere…

VIDEO Faithful Fathers: Zacharias – the Restored Deserter

Now John [the Baptist] was clothed with camel’s hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. Mark 1:6

In the 1950s, American churches were full of prosperous, buttoned-down, middle-class families. And then came the sixties and the countercultural revolution. Many of the children of those fifties Christian parents joined the “Jesus People Movement,” showing up at church with long hair and beards, wearing sandals and beads. Lots of fathers found it hard to accept their children’s choices.

A father in the first century wrestled with his son’s countercultural approach to life—and made some serious adjustments. Zacharias was a priest in Jerusalem when the angel Gabriel appeared and announced that Zacharias and his wife would have a son. That was fine, but their son turned out to be John the Baptist—a man who lived in the wilderness, wore a garment made of camel’s…

“Friends, fathers, and brothers, the God of glory appeared to our father Abraham … ” ~Stephen

Jesus Quotes and God Thoughts

Christian Persecution

It is important that I learn from Stephen. He is very important to a disciple of Jesus as he is the first martyr to be killed for His faith in Jesus. Acts 7 is devoted to his speech at his trial.

Stephen starts with Abraham. That is the start for our faith in the God of glory. It is a good place for me to start as well. Abraham establishes what it is like to obey God and move in faith. God says go. Abraham does not knowing where he is going. God doesn’t say leave and go to Jerusalem. Nope, just go, I’ll show you.

Abraham is our model. Stephen sets the religious elite straight on that and much more.

Then the Chief Priest said to Stephen, “What do you have to say for yourself?”

Stephen replied, “Friends, fathers, and brothers, the God of glory appeared…

June 22, 2019 Evening Verse Of The Day

Truth2Freedom's Blog

7. The wisdom of God in a mystery. He assigns the reason why the doctrine of the gospel is not held in high esteem by the princes of this world—because it is involved in mysteries, and is consequently hidden. For the gospel so far transcends the perspicacity of human intellect, that to whatever height those who are accounted men of superior intellect may raise their view, they never can reach its elevated height, while in the meantime they despise its meanness, as if it were prostrate at their feet. The consequence is, that the more proudly they contemn it, they are the farther from acquaintance with it—nay more, they are removed to so great a distance as to be prevented from even seeing it.

Which God hath ordained. Paul having said that the gospel was a hidden thing, there was a danger lest believers should, on…

Share the Good News

Romans 10:8-17

Can you imagine filling a ship with precious cargo and launching it into the sea, only to watch it repeatedly dock without offloading anything? I imagine silent Christians are much like this ship. God has personally blessed believers with salvation and eternal life and entrusted to them the message of the gospel, yet too few of His children are willing to share with others the good news of salvation in Christ.

What causes us to stay silent? We know that Jesus has commanded us to go and make disciples (Matt. 28:18-20). Furthermore, He has assured us that we will be empowered by His authority and presence with us. God is offering the invitation of salvation to “whoever will call on the name of the Lord.” He has even made it clear that our communicating the good news is the means by which people will come to saving faith…

Michael Jeshurun

Had the priceless privilege of preaching the Gospel this evening to a young Mohammedan who is a sinner like the rest of us. I do not preach the Gospel to EVERYONE I run into like I used to do when I was a young convert. When I was newly saved man I was so ‘on-fire’ that I would preach to the cab driver, the bell boy, the lady behind the hotel desk, the housekeeper and if I didn’t find anyone else you’d probably catch me preaching to the mannequins on display. I just HAD TO tell folks about Jesus!

I still believe that I have to tell folks about Jesus and I do, but over the years the Lord has taught me to use a little DISCERNMENT. He has taught me that there is such a thing as ‘Giving that which…

Hebrews 11:16

Like silent shadows, the heroes of the faith pass beside us, pointing us toward the upward way, whispering words of courage.

The memory of all those models of righteousness now gone from view puts needed steel in our spirit, prompting us to press forward, always forward.

The legacy of their powerful presence and penetrating pages adds depth to our otherwise superficial existence.

Because their convictions live on in words that challenge today’s shallow thinking, we do not?we dare not?remain the same.

I would challenge you to do some further reading about these heroes of the faith. Their lives and their words are there for our edification.

“But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them” (Heb. 11:16).
