Psalms 89:1, “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.”

Singing is such a powerful thing.  So much has been said in history in the form of songs.  With regard to God, there are many songs that have been written to Him. In fact, entire books have been printed with songs that honor and praise God.  So it is no surprise that we should sing of God and His mercies.  All that God has done is good and worthy of a beautiful, melodious song.

On Sunday mornings, we go to church and sing songs, whether they are choruses, hymns, or contemporary songs.  These songs all talk about how great our God is.  This portion of worship is done first typically because it is really important to sing to God.  That is not to say that…
