I must say, giving is one of the oddest pleasant things out there. One one hand, it can be hard or even painful to part with something. But if it’s made willingly, there’s great joy.

Furthermore, I am always amazed at the “trickle-down” effect of giving. We don’t always know all of the stories nor do all gifts have many levels, but when we do hear about what happened with gifts, it can be remarkable. I just had an experience where a small gift touched a person’s heart who in turn touched someone else’s heart in a big way and we’ll see if it goes even further! “Chain giving” is crazy!

Lastly, there is the odd thing of getting back. No, not always right away or exactly what you gave. But it is amazing that once you open up your hands and let go (i.e. give), your hands are now…
