Each month our church has a prayer service. There is a particular emphasis with each prayer service. Last month our emphasis was on praying for the kids of the church. In each prayer service I typically give out a Bible based prayer list. This service was no exception. I thought I’d share the list and my thoughts about the verses today.
Pray They Will Know And Follow Jesus– “As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)
This is one of my favorite passages right now. When I pray for kids using this passage I want them to:
Receive Christ
Follow Christ (walk in Him)
Be rooted in Christ (no fall away once they move on)
