The Purpose Statement Of Christ

Today`s Devotion

John 10:10 – “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

So many books are written on the subject matter of purpose and goals.  Many would advocate that you have to start with an appropriate purpose statement when you begin any business or organization.  Some call them mission statements. No matter what you call it, there’s an intent to describe the purpose for what they do and who they are.

I think this scripture is so uplifting because it tells me that Jesus Christ had a purpose statement. His goal was, and is, to give us a rich and satisfying life. Yes, Christ came to die and pay for our sins, but with a purpose. That purpose was to reunite you and I  with God so that we can ultimately live a full and satisfying life.
