The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 1:3 that “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places.” That is magnificent! Our hearts overflowed with unspeakable joys while reading these marvelous graces from our generous, gracious Father. So, we continued to read through Ephesians 1:23, and we were left breathless. Yet, that is not the end of the story, however.
On May 17, 2017, Pastor John Piper preached to the graduates of the Bethlehem College and Seminary Commencement a sermon titled “All Things Are Yours.” The Scripture text was 1 Corinthians 3:21-23:
“So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.”
I have listened to John Piper’s message many times since 2013. It is a powerful message that goes far beyond graduation day, but it should serve as a springboard to worship and praise the Lord for being so magnanimous, so mighty, and so merciful.
I have shared the link for those who will be grateful for additional spiritual enrichment for your graduate, for yourself, for this day, for your mission, etc. My heart still rejoices as I hear and read this short sermon. May the Lord revive and renew your heart as well.
