Culture Shock: People Everywhere!

In the Valley

I’m going to try, once a week, probably on Tuesdays, to highlight some differences between our old home in Canada and our current home in Benin. Not to make things seem negative or anything like that, but to shed some light on a different culture. It’s good to open our eyes and see how others live and maybe adapt certain things to ours.
This week’s focus will be simple.
They’re everywhere.
The people, I mean.
One of the first things we noticed when we got here, other than it was pitch black out at 8pm, was that people were everywhere. You couldn’t drive for 3 seconds without seeing a dozen people.
Where we are from, folks have all kinds of neat electronics, Netflix, XBoxes, and whatnot and so forth. Not to mention in Saint John, it might be nice out 20 days out of the year. So I’m not really…
