Franklin Graham held the Decision America Rally 2016 in Atlanta, GA yesterday. I volunteered for the event, so my group and I arrived in downtown Atlanta at 9:00 am. We walked from the MARTA public transit station to the hotel in 26 degree weather. For a Southern girl, that is pretty cold. The frigid weather did not deter the crowd, because over 7000 attended the rally. By the time the rally began at noon, the temperature had risen to 31 degrees. This actually felt warm after enduring two hours in the 20’s.
I was assigned the job of passing out flags at what I will call the celebrity entrance. Why do I call this the celebrity entrance? Just minutes before the rally began, Stephen Kendricks arrived with his family. I gave him a flag and shook his hand. I also heard that Ted Cruz’s father, Raphael Cruz, and Henry Blackaby attended the rally.
