Precious Heavenly Father, You are the God of all comfort. You are the God of tremendous compassion, peace, and hope. We thank and praise You for being the great and loving God that You are.
Your mercies are new every morning. Have mercy, O Lord, as we lift up to You the loved ones who are still remembering the abrupt loss of their dearly, beloved relatives and friends on 9/11. In the Name of Jesus, we ask You once again this year to shower them with Your massive, sweet, comforting mercies.
Be with all of them throughout this day during the special memorial and during all the services across this nation. We thank and praise You for all the lives of everyone that we are remembering today. Be with their loved ones in special ways today and throughout the year.
Blessed Father, wrap Your loving arms around them. Heal their broken hearts, as only You can. In Your special ways, let them feel Your Presence and Your Peace that passes human understanding. Continue to be faithful to them. Help them to cherish the memories of their dear ones. Bring to their minds special joys that they might have forgotten through the years.
Lord God, we also pray for all those who are disabled and those who are broken in spirit deep down in their souls from the 9/11 catastrophe. Heal them, O Lord, and renew their spirits. Provide all their needs and draw them closer to You.
Lord Jesus, be a special Friend to all the bereaved and to the disabled and others who were affected in ways that only You can heal. Be that Friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Dear God, our Father, touch and minister to all of them. Reach deep down into the secret crevices of their soul and let them feel Your sustaining Grace. Open many hearts to know You in a personal, saving way. Help them to find eternal hope in the Prince of Peace. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-20).
